Osborne Management is located in Victoria and services interstate and international projects from its Melbourne Office.

The following examples present a selection of projects completed by Osborne Management and inter alia its founder Andrew Osborne. Some of the projects listed precede the formal incorporation of the business, but their reference has been included for completeness. In a great number of the examples provided Osborne Management has been retained beyond the initial project to provide further services.  Some of these examples are also included by way of demonstration.

  • technical advisor/ independent reviewer to South Gippsland Water for the conduct of a strategic review of backlog sewerage facilities to service the regional towns of Poowong, Loch and Nyora;
  • conduct of a review of South Gippsland Water's capital program in association with Marsden Jacob Associates. The review covered an assessment of the entire capital program with recommendations on changes to strategy planning and development, risk management, governance, performance and reporting, and resource management;
  • conduct of business review and the development of business plan for Project Support Pty Ltd, Queensland;
  • risk assessment of the $2 Bill. NVIRP irrigation modernisation project as part of the Stage 1 business case addendum. The assessment also included capital delivery and issues associated with the integration of NVIRP into G-MW;
  • review of the procurement arrangements for the development of NVIRP’s $1.5 Bill. landholder connections program. The review was undertaken in conjunction with McMullan Solicitors;
  • technical advisor to the Water Infrastructure Group, Tyco for the development of infrastructure for the $30 Mill. Barrhill Chertsey Irrigation Scheme, New Zealand. The role extended to the conduct of an independent review to support project finance for delivery of the program;
  • specialist advisor to Thiess Services Hydrographics Group for the development of an improved service delivery model;
  • preparation of the initial business case in association with Marsden Jacob Associates for Lower Murray Water. The business case was prepared to enable Commonwealth funding for Stage 1 of the Sunraysia Modernisation Project;
  • business review of the Queensland Government’s water businesses for the Queensland Treasury in association with Cardno Queensland;
  • strategic review of reuse opportunities for the Dandenong Development Board in association with Marsden Jacob Associates;
  • project management of the pricing review of the Surface Water Monitoring Partnerships program for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries;
  • development of agreements for the Surface Water Monitoring Partnerships program for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries in conjunction with McMullan Solicitors;
  • preparation of the Victorian Implementation Plan for non-urban water metering for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries;
  • regulatory impact review for the Water Corporation, Western Australia, in association with Marsden Jacob Associates;
  • technical advisor to Lower Murray Water for the delivery of the 80km $25 Mill. Robinvale High Pressure Irrigation Pipeline;
  • economic review of the Draft National Guidelines for Recycled Water on behalf of the National Resource Management Ministerial Council;
  • commercial advisor to the Sandhurst Development for the development of recycled water supply;
  • technical advisor to the Plenary Group for the development of the $67 Mill. DBFO for the Barwon Biosolids project;
  • conduct of the health and environmental risk assessment for the $1.6 Bill. Eastern Recycling Project for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries, for the use of recycled water by the electricity generators and Australian Paper in the Latrobe Valley;
  • structural review of the Surface Water Monitoring Partnership Program for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries. The review included extensive engagement and facilitation through some 34 partnership organisations;
  • development of a triple bottom line framework for North East Water for use in the development of recycled water markets;
  • strategic and economic analysis of supply and reuse options for industrial development at Kalkallo, incorporating a major paper plant for MAB Developments. The analysis extended to the conduct of negotiations for agreements of supply with Yarra Valley Water for wastewater and recycled water services.
  • preparation of a position paper on water savings principles for the Department of Environment and Primary Industries; and
  • strategic review extending to the development of the initial business case for the $2Bill. Western Corridor Recycled Water Scheme for the Queensland Government. The review was conducted in association with Cardno Australia.
